The
Summer Place Hotel was established in 1986 to serve the traveling
public on a budget. The building was specially designed for
vacationers, not a commercial building. During the
past decade, it has been popular as home away from

The location is tranquil without big city noise and pollution. Pattaya Beach is
only 500 meters from the hotel. Within a short walk are

Walking from the Summer

bathroom. Balconies
are at the front and rear. From the front balcony you can

beautiful gardens and compound of the hotel and an exotic Buddhist
Temple amidst the residential area.
All these qualities are
outstanding at the Summer Place, but hardly found at other
hotels.
All of our rooms are
identical and standardized in size and appearance. The private bath room with hot
shower, air-conditioner, refrigerator, twin bed, radio with
cassette player, and
furniture are fully equipped. A locker is also
provided in the room for safe-keeping of guests' personal belongings. TV
Set is optional and available at minimal rental.

TAKING PARTNERS BACK TO YOUR HOTEL:
Make sure that your cash and valuables are
locked away either in a safe or lockable box
(hide the key). Every week brings countless
tales of robberies and missing items even
from long term expats with girls they've
known and trusted for months. Remember, if
you lose your passport, cash and credit
cards, you are in BIG TROUBLE! Most bar
girls are OK but if you leave a bag of
peanuts in front of a hungry monkey and turn
your back you know what's going to happen.
Some hotels have a 'no girls' policy, or get
you to pay an extra fee to allow them in
your room. There have been cases reported of
guys being drugged once they had a girl in
their room, sometimes with fatal results.
To eliminate any
inconveniences and undesirable outcomes, the Summer
Place has added a facility, Transfer Service, for those
requiring a car instead of taxi to the hotel in Pattaya directly.
A reputable transport company is selected for its
new vehicles with insurance and good drivers at reasonable price,
not more expensive
than taxi fare. The driver will be
awaiting at the Meeting Area just outside the Arrival Lounge
holding the name of his passenger for
identification. The journey takes a little
more than 2 hours depending on the traffic.
This service is available to the general public.
CAR RENTAL:
For local and
upcountry sightseeing around Thailand or a trip to Thai
Government Agencies, consulates and embassies; this service is
helpful and economical to all guests. A special
chauffeur-driven private air-conditioned car is available at
reasonable price. Recommended.

Members Club only founded in Pattaya City as Senior
Coordinator of the Summer Place Hotel.
RMC and Summer Place Hotel are now under a unique
name of "Summer Place Pattaya" or "SPP" to
offer a SERVICE UPGRADE. Members of the Summer Place Hotel
in Pattaya have been transferred to RMC automatically.
A: One room is limited to 1 or 2
persons depending on your registration on arrival. For
members, there is no restriction provided hotel rules are
observed. You are responsible for the conduct or
behavior of your guest directly. As a precaution, you
are required to have the names, addresses, and phone numbers
of your guests for the hotel. I.D. card or driver's license
of each is preferred. They are not allowed to keep with
them or use the hotel keys. This is useful in case of
theft, drug and escape in your absence. Partners do not
identify themselves as prostitutes in this country.
Q: What are your privacy and security
policies?
A: All guests/Members must keep with
them all of
the keys
(gate, room, locker) received from the Manager of the Summer
Place at all times until departure. Failure to do so
can lead to insecurity to the hotel or
your own valuables, cash, and credit cards.
Hide the keys
whenever
you allow someone
in the room. Without your permission, your guest
is not permitted to enter or exit the hotel.
A: Simply, when one has a
reservation, he/she has checked in and checked out as
confirmed, membership is automatically
granted. However, if the details submitted in the
reservation form are bona fide and complete,
membership privilege will likely be honored initially.
Hence, it is a good idea to send a
deposit (US$25.00 refundable) with your certain
reservation.
Q: In making a reservation, is
advance deposit required?
A: "No", if you are a
member. Nonmember can also apply
for free membership online
by completing the Reservation
Request Form provided thereon.
A minimum deposit of US$25.00 is required for each reservation.
Q: Can I just walk in, and request a
room to stay for a few days?
A: Sorry, "no". You must be a
member, or apply for membership
first. The application is processed and approved
quickly. Basically, only your passport and air ticket are
required.

Q: Why is
membership necessary?
A: We believe knowing each other is
a desirable plus. Hence, knowing initially our
customers/guests is pleasurable. The Summer Place is home
away from home for members most
of whom are Europeans.
Q: How much does it rain in Pattaya?
A: The climate in Thailand is tropical. Thus, it is hot, humid, and rainy
throughout the year. March, April and May are hot; June,
July, August, September and October are rainy; November,
December, January, and February are cool. Pattaya is not
too much affected by the seasons being onshore.
During the rainy months, it does not rain all day everyday

is now operational for the rapidly multiplying
